ANOTHER SQUARE HITS THE TRAIL!!!!!
This quilt block is the center to the quilt 'Red Skies at Night'. I made this quilt with the intention of doing detailed quilting. It won a 1st place award at the Broward Expo in 2017. It was shown at the Carpenter Gallery in 2019. .
When I was deciding what block to paint I picked this one because it was a favorite of a couple who's building I hoped this block would hang on. It worked , they liked it. It is hung on the Carpenter Building, in downtown Newberry - Karla Irby

Being in and among the community renews us and comforts us. At the time the pattern was created the community - and the world - were separated and she longed for see the renewal of the community.
